TECHNICAL HSE CONSULTANT

QUALIFICATIONS: - Degree or equivalent certified technical training. Current BOSIET and Offshore medical desirable.

DUTIES: - To undertake work on risk and process safety projects as allocated by the Project Manager / Lead, to agreed quality, costs and timescales. To help identify and secure opportunities to deliver consultancy services to meet client requirements

EXPERIENCE: - Have experience in the Oil and Gas industry in Design, Production and Exploration

Competencies to include: -HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, – Audit, Knowledge and use of Bowtie Analysis, HSE Case Development for Production and Drilling Facilities.

Good knowledge and experience in HSEQ Management and operating systems including Human Factors integration.

Good Knowledge of the Energy Industry is key to this role as will be travel and conducting hazard workshops, audits and inspections and HSE Case development. Knowledge of HSE Case requirements meeting EU Directive, SCR 2015, IADC and COMAH requirements

DELIVERABLES - Ensure quality of Technical content of reports - Increase commercial awareness with respect to potential new opportunities with existing clients, incorporating “added value”. Are willing to travel to meet client needs.

TECHNICAL SAFETY/RISK ENGINEER

QUALIFICATIONS: - Degree or equivalent certified technical training. Current BOSIET desirable.

DUTIES: - To undertake work on risk and process safety projects as allocated by the Project Manager / Lead, to agreed quality, costs and timescales. To help identify and secure opportunities to deliver consultancy services to meet client requirements.

EXPERIENCE: - Have experience in the Oil and Gas industry in Design, Production and Exploration

Competencies to include:

  • Process Safety Techniques
  • MAHRA, Bowtie analysis and barrier management assessments
  • Consequence & Likelihood Modelling (Delivery) and QRA
  • Development of SECE Performance Standards and IV Verification schemes
  • Process Safety Management (Auditing) and Safety Report Development
  • Delivery of HSE Cases, EPA, AoC submissions to Regulator Requirements
  • Knowledge of 18001 (Auditing / Management System design)
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail with strong analytical and report writing skills. Travel will play an important part in this role on a Worldwide basis both on and offshore. Must be responsive and proactive to requests from the project manager and Lead - Contribute to delivery of risk technical projects on time, within cost, and alongside customer satisfaction.

Must be an effective team worker, able to work efficiently within project teams across a broad range of technical disciplines along with direct communication and presentation to with clients as required.

Excellent written English and must operate in line with HRM Values and Code of Ethics.
